Instructional Shifts
There are 12 instructional shifts that must occur in every classroom for students to meet the requirements of the Common Core Standards. There are 6 shifts in ELA/Other content areas and 6 shifts in math. The shifts outline what instructional strategies must be incorporated in reading/writing for all content areas. The shifts also outline what instructional strategies must be incorporated for math.
